Furniture ready for the next chapter
Half of what comes through the shop was not made here. A chair with a broken back splat, a table someone's grandfather built, a cabinet that spent a decade in a damp barn. I take on work I can do honestly, and I will say plainly when a piece is better left as it is.

Assessment
When possible we can get a general idea of what a piece needs via photos, but will only quote in person. Each piece needs to be inspected thoroughly for the customer and the craftsman

Structural repair
Loose joints cut out and recut rather than glued over. Broken members replaced in matching timber, and meticulous care taken to match grain direction and veneers.

Surface & finish
Old finishes revived where they can be, stripped only when they cannot. Patina is evidence — I would rather keep it than sand a century off a top.
What I take on
Solid-timber furniture of any age, and anything that came out of this shop.
What I decline
We rarely decline to work on a piece, but will be upfront and honest about what the piece needs and whether or not the piece should be repaired.
Lead time
Vary, but will be estimated to the best of our ability, and will keep you updated throughout the stages of your restoration
